Hi, I’m Santiago Pinzón—a passionate consultant and business strategist dedicated to driving growth and creating meaningful impact. My journey began in 2010 when I immigrated to Canada as a refugee from Colombia. Arriving in Peterborough, Ontario, I didn’t speak a word of English but was determined to always do my best. With the inspiration of my hardworking parents, who gave up successful careers for my brother and me, I learned the value of persistence, resilience and adaptability.

I pursued a degree in Finance at the Telfer School of Management, balancing full-time studies with part-time work for the Government of Canada. After graduation, I worked with Export Development Canada, and while I thrived in back-office roles, I discovered that working with people and solving complex challenges energized me most. This realization led me to the Business Development Bank of Canada, where I directly worked and supported Canadian entrepreneurs, and later to consulting at Colliers, where I applied my financial expertise and interpersonal skills to drive impact on large-scale projects across Canada.

Every step of my journey—from juggling multiple jobs in high school to working part-time during full-time university studies, building relationships with peers, colleagues and entrepreneurs, and tackling multimillion-dollar portfolios and projects—has reinforced my belief in the importance of hard work, connection, and relentless focus. Whether it’s through strategic consulting or leadership, I’m committed to making a meaningful impact and helping others thrive.
